Bottled Water Drive for Dorian
Posted On:
Thursday, September 05, 2019

East High will be conducting a bottled water drive for those that have been in the path of Hurricane Dorian. We have partnered with God's Warehouse Ministries through the Nolachucky Baptist Association. When our drive is complete, God's Warehouse will pick up the items from East High. They will deliver the items to the needed areas. Last year our school provided over 3K bottles of water for those in the path of the hurricane.

We will have a competition with all STORM classes. The STORM class that collects the most bottles will receive a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies. Last year Heather Rouse's STORM class was the winner.
The collection process will be as follows:
1) Bring cases of water to room #120 at the beginning of STORM (before 11:00am)
2)The students carrying the water should let the teacher in room #120 know the name of their STORM class so they will receive credit.
3) The WBL students will tally and provide a daily count (with assistance of adults). The count totals will be sent via email throughout the drive.
Although we will have a friendly competition, the main focus is helping those in need.

The drive will end on Sept. 20. God's Warehouse will collect the cases on Sept 23.

If you'd like to contribute more, a list of needed items has been provided by the Association.
