Mrs. Stewart taught Studio Art and Art History at local and regional universities between 2006-2011.  From 2011-2012, she worked for The University of Tennessee managing the fine art collection of the Ewing Gallery and organizing exhibitions.  She has been teaching Studio Art at Morristown-Hamblen High School East since 2012.


Mrs. Stewart is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee.  She is very active in a variety of national organization, such as College Art Association where she was the Chair of the Student and Emerging Professionals Committee from 2000-2012; Southeastern College Art Conference, where she presented papers regularly; and the Southern Graphics Council where she has exhibited and participated in portfolio exchanges.

She has an active exhibition record, showing works nationally in both juried, group, and solo shows. Recent shows include Scripts and Systems, a national juried exhibition at the Lexington Art League in Lexington, KY; Artists on Location at the Knoxville Museum of Art in Knoxville, TN; Calling Home, a curated show sponsored by Spudnik Press at the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival in Chicago, IL; Fresh at ArtDimensions Gallery & Studio in St. Louis, MO; and Where We've Been at Leu Gallery in Nashville, TN. She has artwork in various private collections, archives, and public collections across the nation.

She lives in Talbott, TN with her husband and two children.
